Kingsland Reservoir Rules
General Rules
- All visitors must report to the bungalow before making their way to the lakes.
- Anybody using abusive language or behaviour to staff or other anglers will be asked to leave.
- No barbecues or fires.
- All fish must be returned to the water immediately.
- One rod in use per angler at any time.
- No night fishing.
- No keepnets except during official matches (see match rules below).
- All litter to be taken home.
- No unwanted bait to be discarded into the lakes (take it home).
- All vehicles are parked / left at the owner's risk, please park responsibly.
- Fishing only from dedicated platforms.
- Kingsland fishery landing nets must be used at all times.
- No pets.
- Under 16's must be supervised by a responsible adult.
- No one is to 'walk the lakes' without prior permission.
- Anyone caught stealing the property (including the fish) of Kingsland Reservoir will be prosecuted.
Tackle & Bait Rules
- Strictly barbless hooks only.
- Maximum hook size 10.
- No braided lines or hook lengths.
- No leadcore.
- No fixed or bolt rigs (all rigs must be free running).
- No surface fishing or floating baits.
- No artificial or plastic baits.
- No tiger nuts or luncheon meat.
Match Keepnet Rules
- Keepnets are permitted during official matches only.
- A minimum of 3 keepnets must be used by all anglers.
- Only Kingsland fishery keepnets to be used.
- Regular match anglers may leave a personal set of nets with the fishery owner (at own risk).
- All keepnets must be placed into the lake at least 15 minutes before the match start time.
- Max 50lbs of fish in any net.
- Nets over 50lbs will be knocked back to 50lbs.
- Nets over 55lbs will be excluded.
- Any angler with a net over 60lbs will be disqualified, repeat offenders may be asked to leave the fishery.
- Keepnets must be fully submerged in a sufficient depth of water.
- All fish must be returned safely after weighing.
Match Booking Rules
- To book a lake exclusively for a club event, 75% of available pegs need to be booked and covered on the day to prevent open pegs being made available to pleasure anglers.
- Big carp lake - 28 pegs - 20 peg minimum booking.
- Small carp lake - 17 pegs - 13 peg minimum booking.
- Silverfish lake - 21 pegs - 16 peg minimum booking.
- Match organisers should use consecutive available pegs when lake minimums are not booked and paid for.
- Important Anyone found breaking fishery rules will be asked to leave the fishery immediately, no refunds will be given for breaking fishery rules.
